IBSS DIFFERENCE

We build a support team around each ‘teen’. We capitalise on incidential learning through focusing on the teens interests & initiations to create meaningful learning experiences. We ensure your teen receives consistent and meaningful supports because we care!

Empowering team training

With the IBSS’ Co-founders having 20 years of experience collectively we provide our team with regular holistic training on shift & provide support & advice as required. We have an incredibly diverse and talented team of nurses, teacher aides, uni students studying psychology, paramedics & creative engineers.

Super awesome Achievements

The teen social outing group is our pride and joy. We support teens in experiencing independence, discovering the exciting world of different foods/flavours, developing coping mechanisms for being a part of a busy/loud environment, and one of our favourites, is building a strong friendship conneciton with the other teens in the group to the point that they cannot wait to see their friends and support team every Saturday!

Costs

Cost for NDIS plan

Saturday from $540 (1:1 Supports) Weekday from $390 ( 1:1 Supports) *This is an estimate of 6 hours support. Kilometers: We understand that Kms add up quickly, we try to aim for as little travel as possible. Where possible we team teens and support workers up in one car to help cut on kms costs.

Personal Costs

As NDIS does not cover the expenses for activities, parents are required to bear the costs of both activities and food. Some activities do require a pre-booking, if this is the case IBSS will pay the cost up front and send through the receipt to parents for re-imbursement. Our goal is to always maintain affordability when it comes to food and activities.

What does a day out with ibbs look like?

Pick Ups: Our standard pick up times are at 9:00 am, either from the teenager’s home or a mutually agreed location (both options offer flexibility). Activities: The day begins with a goal-oriented activity focusing on skills like navigating busy environments, using public transport, managing money, communication skills, and shopping for ingredients then cooking lunch. In the afternoon, a more relaxed and enjoyable activity is planned, such as swimming or scootering so they are dropped back home in a peaceful and relaxed mood. Drop Offs: Our target drop off time is 3:00 pm, either back at home or at a location agreed upon by all parties (flexibility is offered in both cases).
